I will never stop saying it - the power of a new piece of furniture along with some greenery is UNREAL. The vision of this space was to become a place that became functional, usable and inviting. It is the first room you see as you walk in from the beautiful open entry. And the floral chairs just weren’t cutting it ;)

It is also amazing how much more complete you can make a room feel by space planning the furniture in a conversational way. This room design started with just two chairs, a side table and a coffee table. It was “enough” but it didn’t quite feel complete! My clients requested to add to the design by bringing in a sofa. I WAS THRILLED. Oh my friends, it is so worth the investment to create a complete room design! No missing pieces, yet still minimal.

The fireplace was already a beautiful focal point - but sadly got hidden behind other items in the room that it could never speak for itself. I right away wanted to let it shine!

Selecting light, bright performance textiles was next on the list. And of course throwing on some color with the pillows and art! In my opinion, you can never have too much greenery.

After installing this room along with the beginnings of the entry and dining, it instantly felt so much more welcoming! My clients now use this room almost daily as a comfortable and formal space.
